Cabin - August 2006

My sister Jenny had a baby boy, Ben, in May of 2006 and wanted to bless him at our cabin in August so that our family as well as some of Cam's family could all get together for it. So we did. We had a great trip. Ryan and I enjoyed taking my sister Maggi's new puppy, Tilli, on a lot of hikes, she is a weimaraner. We went on hikes witht he family, played a lot of games, watched movies, took pictures, and just hung out. It was a good time. We are so grateful to my grandpa for having the foresight to build a big cabin for his descendents to have a family vacation spot. I have so many good memories there, as do the rest of my family and many of my friends. We're also grateful my sister Mindy and her family have been able to build another cabin tow doors down so that our growing family doesn't have to cram in to just the one cabin, but can all enjoy spending time up at the cabin together. We are very blessed.

Since this picture was taken we have had three more nephew born and will have 2 more born in January (maybe December if Jenny is lucky.) I love my huge family!


One of the great things we did on this trip was this long hike up this mountain. We took Tilli with us and had a great time - wore her out, and us too. The view was incredible. Although we love the trees and wild flowers in Texas, one of the things we miss the most about living in the west is the mountains, they are the best.
