Arkansas - November 2006
Thanksgiving of 2006 was a Colby Thanksgiving. My parents decided since it was an in-law Thanksgiving and all their kids would be away, there was no reason to stay in Las Vegas, so they would come spend it with us. So they joined us at Ryan's parents for dinner. After dinner and festivities we took them to Arkansas (we invited Ryan's family to come along but they didn't want to.) Ryan's parents had taken us to Degray Lake for Thanksgiving the year before (for soem reason we don't ahve any pictures of that trip and I tend to only blog about vacations I have pictures of.) We had a great time with them in Arkansas and since my parents had never been to Arkansas we figured they would enjoy it too. We spent the first night in Hot Springs and then went to Petit Jean State Park for a couple days. It was great. We went on lots of walks and hikes and just spent a lot of time outside. It was so beautifula nd peaceful and we really enjoyed ourselves. Ryan and I love traveling with my parents because they travel the same way we do. They eat with about the same frequency we do and are mostly focused on being out seeing things and just being active. It works out well for us.
