True Love Found

This month Abby has found her true love - reading. She reads ALL THE TIME. Anything. Books, calendars, science magazines, church manuals (they don't even have pictures), whatever. She spends hours every day perusing the printed word. In the morning she gets into bed with me and we read together. If I'm working on the computer she gets her big stuffed hippo and lays on the floor next to me with her books. I hope this love will last forever!

Ft Worth Stock Show and a visit

Ryan's closest friend from his mission, and later his college roommate, came to Texas for a dental seminar. That means we got lucky and got a visit. Ryan wanted to show him some Texas - so took him to BBQ and the Ft Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. When you get rodeo tickets you also get free admission to the grounds. So we took Abby. Our favorite things were the petting zoo and horse auction. We actually considered bidding on and buying a horse, but decided it's probably not good to impulsively buy a horse.

Ft Worth Museum of Science and History

This wasn't technically Abby's first trip to the Science Museum. We came when she was just over a month old. But I'm pretty sure she doesn't remember it :). I think she is still a little young to enjoy most of the museum (we'll work on that - I do love science), but she had fun playing in the children's part, and so did Ryan and I.

Unfortunately, by the end of our adventure, they were both run down and under the weather. They needed a little time to recuperate.
