July Photo Roundup

She did help make the mess - so nice of her to help clean up :)

After seeing our cow pics from Chick-fil-A our friend Dalynn gave this cow to Abby. Cutest cow ever!

Looks like she could use a little bit bigger pool

 Super Abby!

The pool may be small but the kids still had fun!

Should we call her Cinderella? Just kidding - this was totally her. She had the apron on from when she was eating. While she was eating I started cleaning floors. When she got done she got a broom and went to work. Love her!

Fun With Friends

We went on a group date with some friends. We started off with dinner at Torchy's (my fav) then split into groups for a race. We had a bunch of tasks to accomplish. Then met for ice cream at the end. My group totally won - well, we didn't cheat and get disqualified like some groups ;). It was super fun. I love our friends!

Some Firsts

Abby doesn't get many desserts - we try to keep sugar consumption to a minimum. So I made her her first popsicle, it was a hit.

We met Ryan for lunch at a grilled cheese restaurant. Ryan's meal came with a fountain drink. We rarely get fountain drinks, like, almost never. But since we did this time Abby got her first taste of one. She probably won't get many more over the next several years. Deprived, maybe, but healthy, definitely.

First scraped knee - she fell while walking a dog. I guess going nearly 2.5 years before getting one is pretty good.

This was actually a first just for me. For my birthday Ryan's sister gave me a gift certificate to get a pedicure. So I went with her and their mom and had one while Abby napped. It was fun. When we got back Abby wanted her toes painted too, so Heather gave her a pedicure. So fun!

I have wanted to see Jeckyll and Hyde for forever. I don't remember how long. I've had the sound track for years and love it. I saw one day that it was going to be playing in Ft. Worth and told Ryan that would be a really good anniversary gift. He understood. He took me and I loved it just as much as I thought I would :).

Ants in her pants

We were at our friends house this morning so I could work out with someone and Abby could play. When we were getting out of the car Abby was really wiggly. I asked her if she had ants in her pants (joking) and she said yes. I immediately looked and sure enough, ants were all under her shirt and down her pants. I hate fire ants! One of the worst things about living in Texas. Ants in your pants aint no joke! My poor baby!

It was totally worth it!

4th of July

We decided to go on a little getaway for 4th of July. We found a cute B&B in Granbury that allows dogs - Windmill Farm. We had a little cabin that had a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. We stayed in the Dakota cabin. They have more than 40 windmills. It was a fun place to stay.

We got to Granbury Friday morning and started off with watching the parade. We met our friends Adam and Stacy Fuller there (and there little boy Eli - Adam and Stacy served with us in the single's ward). It was super hot and the parade was nothing spectacular, but it was still fun. After we went out to eat with the Fullers, and that was fun. We like Adam and Stacy lots but rarely get to see them now that we're not in the same ward. It was nice to get to catch up with them.
After lunch we checked in at the B&B and gave Abby a nap. Ryan's parents and Heather came by. We spend a little time just hanging out at cabin, then went to the city rodeo. I really like rodeos, but this was seriously the most boring rodeo I've ever been to. It was so bad we left half way through! Oh well. We went to eat, then went down by the lake to watch the fire works. That was fun. We had brought glow in the dark stuff for Abby to play with, she had lots of fun with that and really liked the fireworks too. She calls them "showers of light". She doesn't like how loud they are though so we cover her ears for her. After fireworks we headed to our cabin and Ryan's family headed home.

We spent Saturday morning at Granbury beach and had a great time. I love water! Why wasn't I born a mermaid?
