Fight, fight, fight

One of my good friends is battling breast cancer. Abby and I have joined her fight. We've taken her to her surgery appointments, send her pictures of cuteness, visit, pray, and just cheer lead.

Sea Life Aquarium

Ryan and I had never been to the aquarium in Grapevine but when his parents watched Abby while we were in Kenya they got season passes. They're about to expire so they took us and Heather there before they did. It's not huge but I thought it was pretty nice and we all had fun. I always love jelly fish! I always love it all really, but it really makes me miss diving. We haven't been since before Abby joined us, and I miss it! Don't know when we'll go again, hopefully not too much longer!

Happy Penny Day

Penny was our first princess. She joined our family September 10, 2011. We had been wanting a dog since before we got married but had to wait until I was home enough to be fair to a dog. We both love labs but Ryan's parents don't care for big dogs. They needed to be okay with our dog so we could have them dog sit when we go on vacation. I don't prefer little dogs. We weren't sure exactly what kind of dog we would get. We were thinking of a Springer or Brittany Spaniel. Or maybe a cocker/lab mix. We went looking at shelters one day. We ended up at PetSmart on a Saturday. We saw all the dogs that the shelters had brought but didn't love any of the dogs. As we were leaving we noticed this beautiful dog that looked like a 6 month-old lab. I had noticed her on the way in, she was sitting at the front of the store on a leash with her owner, or so I thought. Ryan and I both commented on our way out how adorable she was, then we started wondering if the person she was with wasn't actually her owner, maybe she was available for adoption too. We asked, and she was. They said they thought she was a lab mix around 3.5 years old. We walked her around the store and discussed if we should go look at the shelters we were planning on going to before we made a decision, but then decided there was not point, she was more perfect than we could have come up with - a lab that would always be smaller (she was 35 pounds). We brought her home and have loved her ever since. She is the most amazing dog and we have LOVED having her in our family!

TOFW

I have never been to Time Out For Women before, until now :). My sisters and mom have all gone together, a huge number of ladies from my ward go every year, but I just never have. But I decided I wanted to go this year and asked my sister Molly if she wanted to come here and go with me. She said she did - so we went. It was really fun. I loved being their with Molly and my church sisters too. The talks were great, loved the music. It was just fun. I loved just spending time with Molly. We went out to eat, we went to Six Flags (unfortunately we didn't get to ride a single ride because there was lightening :( ), we talked, she spent time with Abby, it was fun. I wish I lived closer to my sisters and could spend more time with them!

August Share

Took this picture for two reasons. It always cracks me up when she puts on our shoes - and also because of the strawberries on her shirt. When she wears this we always ask her if we can have some (strawberries) then pretend to eat them. It's a favorite - I live for her laughs!
She loves to push her stroller. But it's hard to see where she is going.

Just some fun at the zoo.

We got a bunch of hand-me-downs from a friend including several character shirts. The only one Abby cared about was this one - Fancy Nancy (the only one from a book.)

Abby, Emma, Damon - cute little friends.

 Wearing Daddy's shoes.

Ryan had this bug box when he was a little kid, and now it's Abby's.

Cathy and Micheal (Abby's birth grandparents) came for dinner. She chose them to read her bedtime stories.

She was cracking me up :)

 Abby and Damon

Cathy gave me these flowers when they came for dinner. They were so pretty and Abby is so pretty so I just had to take some pics.

This is our friend Eleanor who we visit regularly

Do you see Abby totally giving her friend Max the eyes. Heaven help us!

 Tweet, tweet.

Our friend Dalynn gave Abby this book all about trains. Abby loves trains and she loves books so it is perfect for her!
